    Team Profile:
    The Internal Audit Department (IAD) is responsible for validating whether the Firm operates in a controlled environment with appropriate risk management processes. We evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the Firm's internal controls using a risk-based methodology developed from professional auditing standards and assist in monitoring the Firm's compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as rules and regulations governing the industry. 

    About The Role:
    We are recruiting a Head of Internal Audit to provide audit coverage for the Firm’s China investment management business.  The successful candidate will perform audits independently across all Firm’s functions. 

    Your primary responsibilities will include:
    • Represent IAD and engage with senior stakeholders to proactively identify emerging risks and assess their impact on the control environment 
    • Perform risk assessment and support the development of the annual audit plan 
    • Prepare audit updates for senior stakeholders, board and risk committees
    • Manage regulatory relationships and requests
    • Plan, execute and report on both risk-based and regulatory audits in accordance with IAD methodology 
    • Carry out closure verification work to ensure remediation actions have been adequately implemented
    • Develop a strong understanding of business processes and be able to communicate issues to management and other IAD colleagues 
    • Keep informed of industry and regulatory developments and apply the information when planning for and executing audits

    REQUIREMENTS:
    Education – Bachelor’s degree (preferably in accounting/finance) required and post-graduate professional qualification preferred (CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA, etc.).
    Experience – Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in audit or 1st and 2nd line of defense control functions (e.g. risk management, compliance, operational risk, technology risk management) within an investment management firm or financial institution.  Strong command of risk management framework is a must.
    Language – Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.
    Competency Requirements – Demonstrate critical thinking, strong risk and control mindset, professional skepticism, project management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the drive to develop independent viewpoint and innovative ideas.  Self-initiated and a proven team player in collaboration and supporting team members. 
    Travel – Limited travel, however, must have ability to travel when required.

    Experience – Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in audit or 1st and 2nd line of defense control functions (e.g. risk management, compliance, operational risk, technology risk management) within an Investment Management firm or financial institution.  Knowledge of investment management business and experience with information technology audit coverage will be an added advantage.
    Language – Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

  • Technology Risk Officer

    Job responsibilities:

    • Identify, measure, manage and monitor the technology risks, cybersecurity risks, and regulatory risks associated with company’s business development and activities.
    • Conduct risk assessment processes for technology, perform gap analysis and compliance assessment to identify potential regulatory issues and to drive remediation planning to ensure the controls effectiveness.
    • Support audits and reviews performed by internal or external groups from initiation through closure, liaise with global teams to address queries and gather evidence, and facilitate closure of resulting remediation actions. 
    • Manage and participate in risk assessments, internal testing of operational policies and procedures, remediation scoping, reporting and engagement with stakeholders.
    • Closely collaborate with technology teams and risk stakeholders across the lines of defense, both globally and regionally
    • Provide assurance to technology management those controls are designed and operating effectively and provide visibility to the extent of operation compliance across IT in relations to policies, guideline and regulations.


    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • 10+ years directly relevant experience in IT risk management and/or IT audits
    • Previous experience with technology controls programs and risk domains (e.g. NIST, COBIT / ITIL, frameworks) or compliance programs (e.g. ISO27000, SOC1&2 reporting)
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate requirements effectively and coordinate team discussion
    • Must be detail-oriented, very organized and value the integrity of the data with strong analytical and problem-solving ability, capability switch context quickly and work on
    • Excellent teamwork skills, capable of working effectively across a variety of IT and Business groups, across regions, roles and able to interact effectively with all management levels
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
    • High proficiency with MS Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project) with advanced skill in data manipulation using Excel.
    • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and organization principles
    • Experience within the financial services or similarly regulated industry
    • Understanding of Operational Risk and associated regulations (e.g., Basel, SOX
    • General understanding of technology infrastructure (compute, storage, database, network, data centers, security, etc.) and IT service management. 
    • Control or Risk management related certifications (e.g. CISA, CISSP, CRISK)
    • Experience in managing committees (e.g. planning, meeting minutes and tracking tasks)
